Autumn Is In The Air

My favorite season is almost here I love waking up on a cool morning seeing a blanket of frost covering the grass glistening as the sun rises the vibrant colors on the trees the leaves shinning like diamonds as the sun shines on them Autumn brings so much beauty before the cold winter starts A warm fire  to take the chill off a cup of hot chocolate as you see the beauty from the window .

The word autumn comes from the Old French word autompne (automne in modern French), and was later normalised to the original Latin word autumnus.[7] There are rare examples of its use as early as the 12th century, but it became common by the 16th century.

Before the 16th century, harvest was the term usually used to refer to the season.

The alternative word fall is now mostly a North American English word for the season this was taken from Wikipedia .

Please take time to enjoy this beautiful season before the long winter settles in and the warm days are soon forgotten . Take a long walk enjoy the  Scenery.
